The Parents' Club
The Parents' Club with the Kladska Primary School was founded in the school year 1996/1997. It is a non-profit voluntary association which cooperates with the school management and staff and protects the parents' and pupils' interests in negotiations with the school management and staff. The Parents' Club organizes additional language lessons: German and English for the lower school classes and French, Spanish, Italian, Russian as well as preparation for entrance exams in Czech and maths for the upper school classes. Every year the Parents' Club gives new pupils coming to the 3rd grade a welcome (presentation of commemorative plaques), prepares the farewell of the pupils of the 9th grade (buys ribbons) and helps to organize the Children's Day. In 2002 the Parents' Club participated greatly in the celebration of the 100th anniversary of our school in which more than 700 Kladska school leavers took part. At present the following clubs backed by the Parents' Club work in our school:
Art
Music
Computers
Sports
Drama The Parents' Club meets regularly once a month under the leadership of Mrs. Katerina Brejlova. Parents working in the Parents' Club are often Kladska school leavers with a long-term relationship to the school. Today's pupils are sometimes the 3rd or 4th generation within a family attending our school. At the general meeting of the Parents ' Club held on 6 December 2004 new statutes have been approved by common consent. The chairman of the Parents' Club Mr. Petr Hostalek resigned for working reasons and a new chairperson, Mrs. Katerina Brejlova as well as a new vice-chairman Mr. Pavel Bajusz, have been elected. Mrs. Katerina Dvorakova continues her work as the cashier of the Parents' Club.
